"Mena" is Hausa for gazelle and "Mode" is French for fashion. Originating from Niger, our founder wanted to incorporate a piece of her home into the brand. Hausa is also the second most spoken language in Africa. People from around the continent are able to understand each other based on this common denominator. We want this idea of a "universal language" to represent the line. Keeping this in mind will ensure that Mena Mode continues to appeal to everyone around the world. This line simultaneously represents two polar opposites.
Mena Mode juxtaposes contemporary designs with traditional African fabrics. This clothing line includes elements that vary from formal wear to everyday street wear. Mena Mode is universal because there is an appropriate design for every personality and occasion.
